Spa Kacho uses natural hot spring water sourced from within the hotel grounds. Spa Kacho is one of the preeminent facilities in Kyoto, with a total area of some 2,100 m over two levels. There is a semi open air hot spring bath featuring a design inspired by the impressive brick arches of the Suirokaku aqueduct that is part of the Lake Biwa waterway, which is located within a garden that continues all the way to Mount Kacho Spa Kacho also includes a gym and a treatment facility where we use the professional skin care brand Sothys.
The design of both the entrance and the lobby reflects the renewed design concept of the entire hotel, known as The Queen of Elegance, featuring graceful, refined curves rendered by leading Japanese architect Togo Murano.
The spacious semi open air hot spring bath feels at one with the distant lake. The relaxing experience is enhanced by the sound of the waterfall in the background and the walls featuring designs inspired by the Suirokaku aqueduct. It makes the history and natural attractions of Higashiyama feel a little closer.
The Kyoto Keage Onsen hot spring, fed by natural spring water sourced from within the hotel grounds, is effective for relief of fatigue and poor circulation.
The male facility is equipped with a dry sauna infused with the smell of natural wood, while the female facility has a steam sauna with a wonderfully moisturizing effect. Take advantage of the health benefits of our spa.
