Kasui-en offers 12 luxurious guestrooms, ranging from 52 to 100 sqm. in size. Each guestroom features a bathroom with a hot tub fed by a natural volcanic spring originating 1,000 meters underground. Rooms are appointed with modern amenities that honor traditional Sukiya aesthetics – low Japanese-style sofas and beds, Murano wall lamps with three-dimensional “washi” paper, Solomon’s Knot-patterned night lights and detailed “shitaji-mado” windows woven with steel rods. In the spirit of true Japanese hospitality and to ensure an authentic stay experience, a dedicated “landlady” looks after guests staying in Kasui-en. The landlady ensures guests’ every comfort, from arranging meals to providing tea, flowers and sightseeing information.
Kasui-en guests can use the amenities of the Westin Club Lounge.
As for the concept of the guest rooms, not only introducing a wooden atmosphere into the floors and a part of wall materials inspired by the nature of Kyoto Higashiyama, but also the softly shining champagne gold color in the metal parts of the furniture, which produces a design of modern taste mixed with an atmosphere of nature, will be arranged.
Luxury Suite Heian-kyo View 2 double beds on 8th floor were renovated in February 2019, and Luxury Suite Heian-kyo View 1 king bed will be opened in December 2019.
This room offers spectacular views of the grand nature of HIGASHIYAMA as well as the cityscape of the ancient capital, including Nanzenji Temple and Heian Jingu Shrine.
