“Tennoji Zoo” was opened as the country’s third zoo on 1915, and currently houses 900 animals from 200 species.

Osaka Castle

One of Japan's three most famous castles, Osaka castle is a well-known tourist spot

Osaka Castle was the residence of “Toyotomi Hideyoshi”, who built it as a base from which to unify Japan. Today the castle exhibits artifacts and materials connected to Hideyoshi amongst other items. The expansive park surrounding the castle features flowering cherries, plums, and peaches, that provide beautiful blossoms in spring and colorful foliage in the fall, letting visitors enjoy the changing seasons.

Shitennoji Temple

Well known throughout Japan, Shitennoji was established by Prince Shotoku over 1,400 years ago.

It is a 15- to 20-minute walk from the hotel.
For a true local experience, visit on the 21st or 22nd, when the monthly temple fair is held and a range of stalls are set up in the grounds.

Tsutenkaku

Tsutenkaku - the name means ""tower that reaches to the heavens"" - is a signature attraction of Osaka.

Built in 1956, the Tsutenkaku Tower is about 100 meters tall and is known for its statue of Billiken, the god of good luck, in the observatory on the 5th floor.
