Billiken, a statue of the god of good luck, is the first to greet you when you get to the observatory of Tsutenkaku. Much loved by the citizens of Osaka, Billiken is said to grant a variety of wishes including those for success in examinations and finding a good partner.
The Kaiyukan is one of the largest aquariums in the world, reproducing 10 ocean regions from around the Pacific Rim by using 14 tanks centering on .the Pacific Ocean tank where the world’s largest fish “whale shark” swims. The aquarium houses a total of 30,000 marine animals of 580 species. Adults and children can enjoy watching them all day long here.
